i saw the blog article here and had to add my 2 cents, which is a contrarian point of view. http://www.topretirements.com/blog/baby-boomer-issues/predicting-how-baby-boomers-will-change-retirement.html/
In my opinion i don't think boomers at heart are that special or that different from their parents or folks just a few years older than them. When it comes to retirement the boomers are going to behave more or less the way retirees have done for the last 20 years. most of them will stay where they are and fade away. Some more adventurous ones will head south or become active volunteers. Maybe boomers will add a few new twists to retirement, but the fundamental way it is done will not change.

I don't know. Supposedly, we're going to live longer and be healthier. Probably leaves a lot more room for an adventurous retirement.

I'm moving abroad for my retirement within the month. Most of my peers won't follow in my footsteps but they're pretty active in their retirements.

Hi:

I sure hope I am not going to fade away. I have been researching retirement communities so I can be sure to stay active and involved. I also started an Internet business http://www.ElizabethsCorner.com a couple of years ago that will certainly continue in retirement. I am sure it is all preference but if you stay healthy, stay involved, and continue to challenge your mind you shouldn't just fade away. I don't envision too many Baby Boomers sitting on the front porch rocking their day away waiting for family to visit. Wink
