| Your Topretirements editor is working on an article and possibly a book about unusually interesting retirement lifestyles. For example, professional volunteers, hobbyists, career changers, new business start-ups, professional grandparent, world traveller, etc. If you are living what you think is a very interesting, even ground-breaking retirement lifestyle, please post here. Or use the Contact Us button on this site to write me directly. Looking forward to hearing from you! |

| Two of my friends have a sensational retirement, although it's not particularly unusual. They live in the northeast, having sold their single family home to live in a small condo community. They spend about a month a year visiting children and grandchildren in California (in different trips). Usually go to Israel to visit family members every other year. Own 4 time shares in various places, using most of them to go somewhere warm in winter. She's a very successful potter (formerly school social worker), he tends their investments, plays bridge and tennis several times a week. Have season symphony tickets locally. Go to NYC every few weeks to see an opera or go to a museum. There lesson for me: staying young and feeling good is all about staying busy and purposeful. No moss is growing on this pair! |
