My parents, and several other people I know, moved in here 2006/2007. They are mostly still there and loving this place! Erickson knows how to do retirement right! When you walk through the dining room, so many people are actively engaged, smiling and laughing. Tables in the lounge area fill up quickly afterwards with groups playing cards or games or puzzles.

The place is over 10 yrs old and during a recent visit I commented on how it all still looks brand new. The campus is immaculate, the food is terrific and the care (if you need it) is superb. All the buildings are connected with glassed bridges so you can walk in any weather. They have a pool, bowling alley, theater, chapel, spa/hair salon, Drs. offices, banks, ATMs, workshops, studio space, classes, groups, etc - you name it!

It is tucked away in, what appears to be, secluded spot just behind a large shopping center, just off of Rt. 1 - east of Rt. 202 and not far from the (no sales tax) Delaware border and about a half-hour drive from the Philadelphia airport.

The only thing that put us off was the insane traffic on the outside. So much more than we are used to - even though everyone seems to drive more politely than we\'re used to - it is still heavy. Transportation off campus, if you no longer drive, seemed to frustrate many as the vans fill up quickly and you need to make a reservation weeks in advance. Perhaps Uber, or Lyft, will pick up the slack.

If you are considering this area - give Maris Grove a hard look. This is the gold standard and we hope we can afford something like it in future!
