Leisure Village - 7 Lakes is a bargain in my opinion. Spacious 2 BR Condos can be purchased for just over $100k. Common fees are quite low. The community is built around a nice 18 hole executive golf course (2 par 4's per side, the rest are par 3). Their is a very large club house with la big heated pool, pool room, health club, crafts rooms, meeting rooms, and common area. Har-Tru and fast tennis courts, bocce, car-washing area are just some of the extras. Something is going on every second here - from bridge to communal dinners. Each neighborhood has its own heated pools. Just about everybody has their own customized golf cart.
The people are nice - heh, they're midwesterners!
My parents have lived here for 25 years and loved every second of it. The biggest pluses are the low costs and high activity levels. The only drawback is the place has a pretty high average age - so there are lots of rules and lots of crusty old people. With any luck maybe I'll get to be one of them!

Yes, there are rentals available at Seven Lakes. Normally for not less than 1 month. By the way, this 55+ community changed its name a few years ago, now it is the Seven Lakes Golf & Tennis Club. It is owned by its residents now and so instead of a sales office by the developer you can either go though various real estate agents or if you know someone there, a note on the bulletin board can produce some leads. Here are some links for you:
