| Hello, Not having much luck finding a community for 50+. All in NJ seem to be 55 and not willing to bend one inch.Does anyone know a reason for this? I understand the HOPA act of 1995 to sate they should allow at least 20% of home buyers to be 50+. Any Help ? |

| Best i can tell you is marry somebody who is 55 years of age. Other states aren't always that tough. And seriously, if you look around there are a lot of communities that aren't officially 55+, but if you took a census, 90% of the people there have gotten an AARP congratulations in the mail. |

There are plenty of communities that will accept 50+ in NJ, though I am under the impression that there is little incentive for them to attract the low end of the age band as the senior demographic grows in number quickly.
Many of the online community search sites list only their *preferred* (paying member) communities, so you are not getting the whole picture.
