| Gotta say I love Del Ray Beach. Its redeveloped downtown is one of the cutest anywhere. Very upscale but livable. And the cute little houses on the barrier island are adorable. You can walk around, go to the terrific public beaches, have lunch or a cup of coffee. Like living in a beach resort. If you can afford it, you'll like it here. |

| Delray Beach (east) is a wonderful community. We have our 2nd home there, a condo on the intracoastal, and plan on retiring to this town. Atlantic Ave. is a charming shopping area and the restaurants are wonderful. The beach is clean and you have a walking path that is terrific. They also put in a bike path throughout the town. Dowtown Pineapple Grove has wonderful shops, galleries and restaurants. Lots to do and see. However, it is not cheap. Florida in general is not cheap for food, services, cable and real estate taxes are very high approximately 1.8% of the assessed value of your home without homestead. If you can afford it, this is a wonderful area |
