I have been planning a trip south to check out active adult or 55+ kinds of communities in North Carolina. But now that i look on the map i see that it's a big state! You've got all the communities in the west around Asheville, some in the center like Greensboro, and then even the coast is huge - from Duck to Wilmington. I hear wonderful things about retirement living in North Carolina, but i sure would like to know where to start! Any assistance, cheerfully accepted.

Thanks for asking about Calabash, NC. Although i have heard about it, i know nothing specific about it other than i like Calabash style seafood when in Myrtle Beach. It looks like a very tiny place - pop 711. We have reviewed some of its neighbors, Sunset Beach, http://www.topretirements.com/reviews/North_Carolina/Southport.htmlSouthport, and Myrtle Beach. We will check it out though, and it looks interesting we will write a review for the future. What do you know about it?
