If you havent done it, take the water taxi along the inland wateway. It's a great trip and you will see how the TRULY rich and famous live.
My problem with Fort Lauderdale is that I am not an urban guy. And that's what you get here, along with its traffic. Living in a high rise just isnt for me. But that said, there are obviously lots of people who love the excitement and variety of the place. With all its water and beaches and boats, it's a heck of a lot more than just another pretty city. Definitely worth checking out.
