totally agree- the suburbs are over developed, houses are too large, poorly built and the owners who purchased over their heads have no intention of doing the maintenance. The greedy builders and bankers have ruined the landscape with these massive developments. Shame on them all.

The New York Times ran a piece that talked about the troubles Denver's FastTracks is having - budget over-runs and delays. But what the article did point out that was especially interesting was the advantages that suburbs with good mass transit connections have vs. ones with no connections. Studies from the University of Utah found that foreclosure rates in DC near Metro stops were much lower than those without. Our conclusion: if you are going to stay in the suburbs, try to pick a spot near good transportation.
