My wife and I drove through Thomasville and we were very impressed. It is close to Tallahassee. The downtown looks nice and there are many active adult communities. My question is - i wonder what it is like for a person from the north to retire in a town like Thomasville? Will they find it comfortable, or strange. I mostly ask because if you come in from any direction but the south, you really get an old-time southern feel. Trashy gas stations, dumpy little houses, and a feeling of poverty and/or grittyness.
