Please help me. I am a single 52 year old . I want to purchase a beautiful home in a 55+ age restricted community in DHS. I will move my mother who is 79 years in with me, old to take care of her.
I want to purchase the house, she will live with me.
Do I have to put her on the title, financing?
or, just buy the house, live in it with her, provide the proof of age paperwork on my mother??

Please help me, the HOA I think wants her on te title...

Any advice, help. I love the house!!!

Not everybody in an age restricted community has to be 55+ = just 80% of the residents. I would talk with the HOA and ask them to be flexible. After all, at 52 you are almost 55. These days many communities are looking for good residents and you and your mother sound like you fit the bill. Many communities are opening up to all ages in an attempt to fill up. Putting your mothers name on the title sounds complicated, unless you have other good reasons to do that.

Good luck, hope it works out for you!
