In case you haven't been in New Haven lately it is worth exploring as a retirement destination, if you are looking for culture and an exciting life in a mid-sized city. The restaurant scene is amazing.Plenty of high rise apartments in nice buildings downtown. Close to the shore.Great theatre or take the train 1 1/2 hours to Manhattan. The Whitney Center for senior living. The town has improved tremendously in the last 20 years. Yale should get some of the credit for encouraging the resurgence.
