|
|
This is a particularly interesting question that came in:
Q: How can we find a 55+ community that matches our interests/ non religious preferences/ political leanings?
A: This is a hard question. Our suggestions would be to read the reviews we have at Topretirements for communities in the states/regions you are interested in:
- Look in the descriptions for clues - small towns in the south, midwest, and west might well be conservative politically and religiously - unless you see items in the descriptions that contradict that - such as a very culturally rich or diverse community
- Look in the "What kinds of people retire here" section
- Examine the Ratings by visitors in the right hand column.
The Retirement Ranger is good for finding for other characteristics, like prices and cost of living and climate.
Good luck. |

| I think that the closer we can get to bigger cities (and still have it affordable),or cities with colleges and universities nearby, the greater the chance of not being engulfed in religion. That is what I am trying to do. |

Also I think that the closer you are to a major urban area the more likely people are to seek there religious needs outside of the community.
