Do not want to live in Central Florida (we don't like it here) Crying or Very sad Help us find the perfect place! Stay between 2's and 3 for price. Like using the golf cart to get around but not always. gated a must. 20 foot easement is better than a 0 lot line. Help me out guys!!!!

Check out Hammock Beach in Palm Coast Florida - on the ocean (east coast, south of St. Augustine), great golf courses, gated, amenities and activities galore, friendly people. I live there. I'm not a realtor, but the author of The New Retirement: The Ultimate Guide to the Rest of Your Life (Rodale) and my husband and I chose this location. (The price range is generally higher than what you want, but you never know.)

Hi Tikigal.

One spot I was originally really interested in was Fairfield Glade in Eastern TN, about an hour from the Blue Ridge Mountains. They have FIVE 18 hole golf courses, most highly rated from what I can see, twelve tennis courts, plus a couple lakes for boating and fishing, and horseback riding stables. They also seem to have a very nice club house and fitness center, and they even have a small medical facility on the complex.

As mentioned over in my "climate" thread, though, I'm thinking this area might be too hot and humid for me in the summer. But you should check it out.
