Manahawin is Growing...

I spent a lot of my life growing up around Manahawkin (Long Beach Island).
Manahawkin is very crowded now...so many new stores and deveolpments coming into it.
If I were to retire, Manahawkin would not be on the top of my list.
When folks leave Long Beach Island to get to the mainland (Manahawkin), the traffic is unbelievable along Rt.72!
If you live in Manahawkin, good luck trying to go food shopping when this happens...or to anything else.

Pammy, I would agree with you about Manahawkin. We have spent a lot of time there and although its nice in the off season, the beach traffic and construction everywhere is tough.

The area does have a lot going for it though. Might be better off in a town to the north or south, like Egg Harbor. Many developments to choose from but you get away from the 72 strip and sprawl, which will only get worse.
