| What Kingman is like for active adults |
| Most of the towns that people know about in Arizona are either in the Phoenix, Tucson, or northern areas of Arizona. Kingman, however, is located in the northwestern part of the state, close to California. This town near I 40 and Route 66 of 28,000 grew 37% between 2000 and 2008. There is a community college in town, Mohave Community College. Outdoor sports like hiking are very popular in the nearby mountains. | What is special about this retirement community |
| Hualapai Mountain Park is reported to be a great place to hike. Kingman was the home of the actor Andy Devine. Now there is an Andy Devine Avenue, as well as the annual Andy Devine Days. Famous Route 66 runs through town. |

| Criticism of Kingman usually centers around its isolation and distance from other cities. Healthcare is hard to find, particularly mental health care, according to some posters. It is not a great place for culture. Others say that the area is terribly windy in the winter and spring. It is in the desert and unusually dry. |
