Bentonville : Arkansas

What Bentonville is like for active adults
Bentonville is world famous as the headquarters' town for retailing giant Walmart. Not only do the company's employees impact the town, but many of its suppliers have also moved their headquarters here to be near the center of the action. This area of Arkansas has great beauty and recreational resources.

The presence of so many talented people makes Bentonville a very dynamic place - its population grew over 60% from 2000 to 2007 (to 33,000). Average home prices in early 2009 were about $141,000 according to Zillow.com, and $160,000 per city-data.com. Both of those figures are considerably higher than the rest of Arkansas.  Bentonville is a short hop to one of America's largest retirement communities, Bella Vista. See link to right for "Bella Vista Active Adult Communities".

It is a fairly safe assumption that many of the career people recruited to this area will decide to remain here in retirement, so look for many active adult communities to be built here in the future.
