What Edmonton, AB is like for active adults
Edmonton is the provincial capital of Alberta and the second largest city in the province with a population over 700,000.  It is an important regional center from a cultural and an economic aspect. The oil and energy boom helped spur the development of Edmonton. Called the Festival City, it is home to one of the world's largest malls and Canada's largest historic park.

The city has an active development plan with a vital downtown and a wealth of neighborhoods, old and new, radiating from that center.

Edmonton is one of North America's most vital cities, way up in Canada. Edmonton's river valley constitutes the longest stretch of connected urban parkland in North America. Many interesting neighborhoods.  A large variety of tourist attractions, many of them indoors.
