| What Camarillo is like for active adults |
Camarillo is old California town just east of Oxnard and the Pacific in a coastal valley. It is southeast of Santa Barbara and about 50 miles from Los Angeles. Some of the most desirable land in the city limits, located to the side of the Ventura Freeway, is permanently zoned for agricultural use. Camarillo's open spaces have attracted several active adult communities (see link at right for Camarillo active communities).
Median home prices had soared well above $500,000 in 2005 and 2006, although recent sales have dipped below that figure. |
