What San Clemente is like for active adults
San Clemente is a town on California's Pacific Coast that became very familiar to Americans as the vacation home of former President Richard Nixon. His mansion became known as the Western White House. San Clemente is a beautiful town in Orange County south of Laguna Beach and Los Angeles, halfway between there and San Diego. The sea gives way quickly to the dry mountains of southern California.
The average age, at 38, is a few years older than California's average. Many active adults would love to retire here, if they can afford it. The average home in this area sells for between $800 and $900k - some of the priciest real estate in the country.
