What Montrose is like for active adults
Montrose is a rapidly growing town of 18,000 people in western Colorado. It claims to be a real town with real people and a thriving art scene, rich culture, and bustling downtown. Outdoor recreation is outstanding -  the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is to the east of town - the San Juan Mountains are to the south. It was named after Sir Walter Scott's novel, A Legend of Montrose. Photo of Main Street courtesy of Wikipedia and Felipecbg
