What Wallingford is like for active adults
Wallingford is an old New England town that dates back to 1694. It was formerly a center for silver manufacturing, along with nearby Meriden.  Wallingford has an active and charming downtown center, as well as a very successful commercial strip along Route 5.  The town has long been home to one of the country's most prestigious prep schools - Choate-Rosemary Hall.  The school's most famous graduate is John F. Kennedy, whose fellow alumni include Adlai Stevenson, John Dos Passos, and actors and actresses too numerous to mention.
