New Port Richey is a town located on Florida's west (Gulf) coast just above Tampa. At one point it had aspirations to be a mecca for wealthy people or movie making, but did not succeed. Although certainly many people choose to retire here, it tends to be more of an all ages community. Photo of Main Street Bridge Tower courtesy of Wikipedia and DanTD.
There are active adult communities in the area (see link at right) including towns like Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Pete. The median price of a home in late 2014 was just under $70,000, according to City-Data.com
