What Savannah-GA is like for active adults

Savannah is one of the most beautiful cities in America.  This city of 136,000 was planned in England by founder James Oglethorpe before it was settled, and his Oglethorpe Plan is a lasting testament to the idea of urban planning. It is laid out in a grid with frequent squares; homes and stores are placed along the squares. It is a popular tourist destination as well as being home to an area popular with retirees. Each year almost 7 million tourists visit Savannah. Like any city it has its marginal areas.
