St. Francisville Louisiana is one of the prettiest and most charming small towns along the Gulf Coast. If you imagine that Louisiana is shaped like a boot, St. Francisville is on the front where the shoe meets the upper last. This historic town which has been restored with a very active Main Street Program. Beautiful ante-bellum homes are flanked by live oak trees dripping with Spanish Moss. Majestic plantations are a major tourist attraction. Many events are scheduled to keep things lively.

Retirees will find low crime and a more beautiful and prosperous community than in many other Louisiana towns. Home prices average just under $100,000, although you can spend more for a historic home. Saint Francisville is attracting active adults for lots of good reasons.
