What Missoula is like for active adults
Missoula Montana is the second largest city in the state and the home of the University of Montana. “A River Runs Through It” was set in nearby Blackfoot River. This small town excels at outdoor activities and recreation due to the many rivers and mountains in this part of Montana. The college town environment gives the Missoula plenty of youthful energy.

Real estate is slightly below the national average but increasing as the area becomes increasingly popular with active adults. According to Yahoo Real Estate the MLS median asking price of 793 homes offered for sale in mid 2007 was $269,500. There were 140 homes listed in real estate classifieds with a median price of $250,000.
