Monroe Township is an area in central NJ's Middlesex County with several small towns including Clearbrook Park, Monroe, Yorketown, Englishtown, Helmetta, and Jamesburg. The town has a respected Blue Ribbon school district, recreational opportunities for everyone, and a highly active senior. The population was 28,000 in the 2000 census. There is farmland, streams, and dense woodlands, often referred to as the pine barrens.

| Where to Live & Real Estate Values |
Monroe Township has one of the greatest concentrations of active adult communities in the country. Many of these are clustered near the NJ Turnpike. We know of at least 10 such communities, along with developments aimed at all age groups. (See link for several Monroe Active Communities at top right). Others include Concordia, Encore, Greenbriar, Stonebridge, Renaissance at Monroe, and Waterside Mature Apartments.
Real Estate Prices
It is difficult to get an up to date picture of real estate prices in Monroe Township. Depending on the development there can be quite a range. City-Data reported that the median price was $358,000 in 2008 - it is probably lower than that now. |
