What Delaware is like for active adults
Delaware Ohio is a lovely college town about 22 miles north of Columbus.  It is home to Ohio Wesleyan University, one of the many excellent liberal arts colleges in the Buckeye state.  Being close to Columbus and Ohio State University adds to the attraction of small town living.  The city combines a traditional downtown shopping area that includes the Delaware Commons - a pedestrian mall and downtown Delaware. The latter is a small mixed-use complex.

Delaware attracts retirees who come for college town living at its best.  Home prices are in the high $100's and steady, thanks to the fact that Delaware County is a rapidly growing area. There is a university related retirement community here, see "Delaware Active Communities" link at right.
