Greenwood is a small town of about 22,000 in northwest South Carolina.  There is a very large lake and 2 small colleges in the area, including Lander University.  The town hosts several important festivals during the year.

There is at least 1 active adult community in the area (see link at top right). Home prices averaged about $100,000 in 2009.
