Collierville is one of the fastest growing communities in Tennessee, as well as one of its most affluent suburbs. This town of 45,,000 is located in southwestern Tennessee, 20 miles from Memphis or Alabama. Retirees are moving to Collierville because of its favorable tax climate, charming downtown, great recreation, and the many active adult communities being built here (see link at top right). Fedex has a major training facility in town, and there is also a very large new mall - Avenue at Carriage Crossing (800,00 sq ft).

Average home values in 2008 are about $300,000 and holding steady. The crime rate is low and so is unemployment.
