Boerne is an affluent town in the beautiful Texas hill country northwest of San Antonio. This small town of just over 10,000 is popular with retirees and is growing fast. Boerne offers small town charm in a quaint, historic, picturesque setting. Stroll through European architecture and discover a world of specialty shops. Hauptstrasse (Main Street) has antiques, gifts, home accessories, clothing, books, jewelry, and outstanding art galleries. Explore the Cibolo Nature Center or visit the ducks at River Road.

There is at least 1 active adult community in the area (see link at right). Median selling price of a home in late 2009 was well over $200,000.

Cute shops and a good reputation with the people that live here. Being adjacent to Texas Hill Country and not too far from San Antonio. Crime is low. Honey Creek State Nature Area.
