Pearland Texas is one of the fastest growing suburbs in the nation. The population is about 90,000 people that is to the south of Houston. It is near the Gulf Coast and all of those attractions. There are several commercial and retail centers in Pearland including Pearland Town Center and the Shadow Creek Town Center. Waterlights District in another proposed mixed-use development. In 2010 the University of Houston Clear Lake will open a campus in Pearland.
There are active adult and 55+ communities in Pearland (see link at top right), as well as the master planned communities of Silverlake, Sunrise Lakes, Southern Trails, Southdown, Lakes of Highland Glen, and Shadow Creek Ranch.
