Discovery Bay is a unique, waterfront-based town in the East Bay area of California, midway between Walnut Creek and Stockton. Brentwood is very close by.  Discovery Bay Country Club his also here. Discovery Bay offers the ability to live on the water with your own private marina and have boating be a major part of your life. The population is just under 9,000.  Discovery Bay is a real town with schools and other public facilities.

Discovery Bay is a waterfront community of 3,500+ homes with private docks and access to the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta. Now Discovery Bay has grown and added Discovery Bay West which features gated and non-gated "off-water" communities.
According to City-data.com, the median sale price of a home was about $440,000 in late 2013. However, the most desirable homes on the water are priced much higher than that.

Discover Bay in very near Brentwood and is halfway between Walnut Creek and Stockton.  It is in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River basin. The average July high is 91, the average Jan. high is 53 and the low is 38. January is the rainiest month (3")

There is a very full event calendar in Discovery Bay with something happening almost every day - a dog show, festival, or the like.
