What it's Like to Retire in Helendale

Helendale is a town in Southern California in the Mojave Desert between Barstow and Victorville. The population is under 5,000. It was formerly called Point of Rocks and was a stop for wagon trains and explorers going west along the Santa Fe Trail. Route 66 goes through town.
