What it's Like to Retire in Steamboat Springs

Steamboat, or Ski Town USA as it called, is a mountain resort town in Colorado. Although skiing here on Mt. Werner is the main draw here in the winter and spring, the popularity of river sports on the Yampa River, mountain biking, and hiking keep it bustling year-round. The population was about 12,000 in 2011, although it can swell higher than that in peak periods.  Steamboat enjoys plenty of snow and ample sunshine. Many active adults retire here to enjoy an active lifestyle in the mountains. Photos of Steamboat courtesy of Wikipedia and katkimchee.
