Beacon falls : Connecticut

What Beacon Falls is like for active adults
Beacon Falls is a small town of about 5,000 in east-central Connecticut. It offers a rural setting in Connecticut's hills, yet is only about a half hour drive from either New Haven or Hartford.  Retirees can take a convenient train to New York from New Haven's Union Station.

Home values increased in 2007 and 2008, part of it due to the addition of an upscale large active adult community in the town in those years (see link at right). The median value of a Beacon Falls home had risen to about $350,000 by late 2009.
