What it's Like to Retire in Palmar Norte

Palmar Norte is a svery mall town near the southern Pacific coast of beautiful Costa Rica near where the Osa Peninsula begins.  Along with nearby Palmar Sur, it is in the Osa region of Puntarenas Province. Palmar Sur has an airport with daily connections to San Jose. There are plans to expand this airport to international status and thus create increased tourism in the area. The Osa Peninsula is home to at least half of all species living in Costa Rica; Corcovado National Park is also within the Peninsula. The Pan American Highway runs through this region. Palmar Norte is warm most of the year, as it about 10 degrees above the equator.  The rainy season lasts from May to November and daily rains can be expected.

This is a very small town so there is not much in the way of restaurants. Nearby Palmar might have some to choose from.
