What Edgewater is like for active adults
Edgewater is a small coastal town south of Fort Lauderdale and New Smyrna, Florida.  Hollywood is to the south.  This is a quiet town with an average age of about 42; crime is very low.  The town has great barrier islands on the Atlantic with many wonderful beaches.  Edgewater is a sleeper town - you don't hear much about it but it seems like a nice place to live.

The median home sold for about $100,000 in late 2009.
