With a population of about 12,000, it's a popular town with retirees, and has a median age of 57. In the late 1950's, the Army Corps of Engineers dug 25 miles of canals as if they were streets, and many waterfront homes were built here. Boating and fishing are popular, and Hudson is home to three semiprivate golf courses, recreation centers, and Hudson Beach which was built in the 1960's. It also has a number of vacation resorts, along with camping and RV sites. Aerial view of Hudson and Hudson Beach courtesy of Wikipedia and Wkight94.

You still have those dark gray low clouds day after day in the winter. A total lack of sun.
