Phelps is a very small town of about 1,000 people in eastern Kentucky near the borders of Virginia and West Virginia. Pikeville and Williamson are the nearest towns. Many people like retiring here because it is quiet, the mountains are near, and the cost of living is very low.
There is at least one active adult community near Phelps (see link at right for Active Communities). Median home price in Phelps was somewhere between $50,000 and $80,000. |
