La Paz is a large city on the southeast coast of Mexico's Baja peninsula. The population was 215,000 in 2010 and manyore live in the surrounding Metro. Summers are very hot and dry and winters are mild. The very Americanized resort of Cabo San Lucas is a short drive away on the Baja's southern tip. La Paz is large enough that there is plenty to do for expatriate retirees.
