Where to Retire in Waretown and Home Prices

Because it is really too far to commute to NYC or Philadelphia and because of the availability of land, many active adult and 55+ communities have been built in Waretown and the surrounding communities of Forked River, Toms River, and Manahawkin (see link to Active Adult Communities at top right).  A lot of the retirees moving in are escapees from the northern NJ suburbs. Median home prices have been volatile in the last few years. Zillow reports the median list price to be $249,000 in mid-2015.
