| What Staten Island is like for active adults |
Staten Island is the smallest of the 5 boroughs of New York City, NY. The population is just under 500,000. In places Staten Island has a suburban feel, certainly more so than any other borough. It is connected to the mainland in New Jersey by bridges and to the other boroughs by the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge to Brooklyn and the Staten Island Ferry to lower Manhattan.
Median real estate price of a home in late 2009 was $371,800. There are active adult communities in Staten Island (see link at right). |
