What it's Like to Retire in Staten Island

Staten Island is the smallest of the 5 boroughs of New York City, NY.  The population is just under 500,000. In places Staten Island has a suburban feel, certainly more so than any other borough. It is connected to the mainland in New Jersey by bridges and to the other boroughs by the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge to Brooklyn and the Staten Island Ferry to lower Manhattan.  U.S. Navy Photo of The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge Looking Toward Staten Island from Brooklyn, courtesy of Wikipedia and Communication Specialist 3rd Class Jonathan Snyder.
