| What Greensboro is like for active adults |
Greensboro is a medium sized city of 250,000 in northern North Carolina. It is considered one of the 3 cities in the Triad along with Winston-Salem and High Point. Greensboro has an active and well-diversified infrastructure with many big name companies located here. The city is known for it beauty, much of which came from the city's early success as a cotton and merchandising capital. Downtown life has improved with many restaurants, bars, and new projects like the New Bridge Park Park and Elon University Law School. The ultra-modern Proximity Hotel and its solar panel clad exterior are emblematic of the progressive nature of this city today. The Washington Post ran a wonderful "impulsive traveler" feature about a 2011 visit to Greensboro. Picture of NewBridge Bank Park courtesy of Wikipedia and Badbadb.
