Marvin, North Carolina, a small but growing town of about 6,000 residents was incorporated in 1994. It is located in Union County, not far from the South Carolina border, and about 20 miles south of Charlotte. Marvin has enforced strict zoning standards to preserve open spaces, and a land use plan that requires preservation of greenspace. The town boasts a 27-acre park that features trails, a community garden and is the site for many communtiy activities. The median household income is reported to be over $150,000.
