What it's Like to Retire in Grove City

Grove City is a suburb of Columbus with a population of 36,000 (2014 census).  There is a historic downtown section and town center but many businesses, hotels and restaurants are located on Springtown Road.  Beulah Park opened in Grove City in 1923, and was the first thoroughbred racetrack in Ohio. According to City-Data the median sale price of homes in Grove City was about $150,000 in late 2014. As a bedroom community of Columbus, there are several developments springing up, see link at right.


What is special about Grove City

Grove City is in a good location, just outside of Columbus, but has it own historic town center, parks, and performing arts. The town is also near wineries, bike trails and State Parks.


What is not special about Grove City

Grove City is chilly in the winter and does get some snow; it is not considered a walkable community.
