Fredericksburg, Texas is a small town north of San Antonio with a population of about 11,000. Fredericksburg shares many cultural characteristics with New Braunfels, TX, a nearby town that also has a rich German-American heritage. Fredericksburg is justly proud of its pioneer heritage, which is celebrated in places like its Pioneer Museum Complex.  For a town of this size there is an amazing number of landmarks and historic buildings. Fredericksburg is a beautiful town with much to see and do. Lyndon Johnson attended church here. Native son Admiral Chester Nimitz  is arguably the most famous of America's WWII naval leaders. The historic Nimitz Hotel, now a WWII museum, is just one of the many historic structures in Fredericksburg. The Fredericksburg-Stonewall area is known as the Peach Capital of Texas.

The Vereins Kirche is now an historical museum in the MarktPlatz and is part of the Pioneer Museum Complex.

Fredericksburg
Although I haven\'t been to Fredericksburg for awhile in the past I found the town quaint and historical. Wouldn\'t go here if you want entertainment. The town closes down at about 9:00 PM.
