What it's Like to Retire in Da Nang

Da Nang is one of the major port cities in Vietnam and the biggest city on the South Central Coast of Vietnam. The city is situated on the coast of the South China Sea and is a commercial and educational center of Central Vietnam, with a well-sheltered, easily accessible port. The population is just under 1 million. Its beaches are reported to be the best in Vietnam. Those made it a preferred in-country destination for American GIs during the Vietnam War. Both South Vietnam and the U.S. used this as a major port and airbase to carry out war operations.  Photos courtesy of Wikipedia: Cityscape orginally on Flickr, market and University of Danang by Dragfyre.
