| What Milwaukee is like for active adults |
| Milwaukee is a large and old city on Lake Michigan. It is the most populous city in the state with about 600,000 residents. Famous for beer, manufacturing and baseball, it has had a resurgence as both a tourist destination and place to live. Some of the important recent additions to the city include the Milwaukee Riverwalk, the Frontier Airlines Center, Miller Park, an internationally renowned addition to the Milwaukee Art Museum, and Pier Wisconsin. It is home to several colleges including Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Photo of Riverwalk and the Market of Jeff Russell. |
