While my husband could exist anywhere as long as there are gyms, restaurants and movies,I need a vibrant fine art community. In NJ, I had places to go to work with and meet other artists. I need that plus the chance to take more workshops in pastel and drawing/color pencil. Though, I am just an amateur, I still feel strongly about needing this outlet. We like warm weather and the beach. Myrtle Beach is a nice place but lacks this opportunity for me. It has musical theatre and a museum or two. We snowbird there in the winter so I know what is available there. Confused
